Roll-off dumpster rental across Greater Canton

Canton Dumpster Rental Group runs out of a yard on 126 P Rickman Industrial Dr, in Canton's P. Rickman Industrial Park just off I-575. The company started after seeing the same pattern too often — missed drop-offs, confusing pricing, or poor communication right when someone needed help the most. So we do the opposite. One number that covers the job. A delivery window we actually hit. A person on the phone rather than a form on a website.

Canton sits at a genuine multi-county meeting point worth knowing: most of our service area is in Cherokee County, but Acworth and Marietta are in Cobb County to the south, Cumming is in Forsyth County to the east, Alpharetta, Milton and Roswell are in north Fulton County, and Jasper and Emerson sit in Pickens and Bartow counties at the far edges. Cherokee County itself is a genuine mix — Canton, Woodstock and Ball Ground are their own incorporated cities, while places like Sixes, Hickory Flat and Free Home are unincorporated communities run directly by the county — so what changes town to town is access, density and incorporation status, not one uniform legal shape. A tight lot behind an older mill-village house near downtown Canton is a different job than an open new-construction lot out in Woodstock, and real north Georgia weather — a winter ice storm and a remnant hurricane wind event both bring down limbs with very little notice, in opposite seasons and opposite ways. Knowing which is which before the truck arrives is most of the job.

Whatever you are clearing — flood or storm debris, a family home, a new-construction site or a storm-damaged roof — the container exists for it. Call (770) 629-0113 and describe it in a sentence.

How it works

Four steps, one phone call

Most bookings take under four minutes.

  1. 1

Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask what you are clearing, where the box needs to sit and when you need it, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No forms, no waiting on an email.

  2. 2

We size it and quote it flat

You get one number covering delivery, the rental period, pickup, disposal and a stated tonnage allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so.

  3. 3

    Delivered where you want it

The driver walks the spot with you and sets the container square on the driveway, lot or jobsite. If the surface needs protection we will say so before we set it down.

  4. 4

    Load at your own pace

Keep it level with the top rail and keep the banned items out. Need a swap mid-job or an early pickup? One call and we are on it.

  5. 5

We haul it and sort it right

Clean concrete, metal and yard debris get routed for recovery rather than landfilled where we can. You get your driveway or lot back the way you left it.

Local knowledge

Eighteen towns, and we know the driveways

There is a difference between covering an area and knowing it. We know which Canton and Woodstock streets fill up on trash day, which towns have their own strict right-of-way permit process, what a narrow mill-village lot can and cannot take, and what I-575 traffic near the industrial park is doing on a given afternoon.

Our service area page lists every town we cover, grouped by county, and how close each one is to the yard, and each town has its own page covering access, housing stock and the local rules we run into.

Why us

Why people call us back

  • You reach the yard, not a call center

The phone rings at 126 P Rickman Industrial Dr in Canton's P. Rickman Industrial Park, right off the I-575 corridor. Whoever picks up knows the difference between a tight mill-village lot near downtown Canton and a wide-open new-construction site out in Woodstock.

  • One flat price, said out loud

Delivery, the rental period, pickup, fuel, disposal and a stated tonnage allowance in a single number. If your load looks like it will go over, we say so before the truck leaves the yard.

  • Same-day near the yard, next-day across the wider metro

Call early and most Canton, Woodstock and Holly Springs orders go out the same day. Farther towns like Alpharetta or Jasper are usually next-day — honestly, and in advance.

  • Driveway and lot aware

Boards go under the rails on every driveway as standard, and the driver will tell you before delivery if a tight in-town lot, a gravel drive out in the unincorporated county, or a new-construction site needs a different approach.

  • The right box, not the biggest

Weight fills a container long before volume does. If a 10 yard is the honest answer for your concrete load, that is what we will quote you.

  • Built for real Canton-area weather, both seasons

North Georgia sits in a real storm path on both ends of the year — winter ice storms that bring down trees and power lines across Cherokee County, and remnant hurricane wind events, the kind that hit the county hard when Helene came through in September 2024, on the other. We size jobs for both, from a downed-limb cleanup to a wind-damage gut-out.

Credentials

What you are actually hiring

Straightforward, checkable facts about who you would be working with — no invented star ratings or reviews.

  • Licensed and insured

Fully insured for general liability and commercial auto. A certificate of insurance goes to your property manager, general contractor or builder on request, usually the same day.

  • Several years, locally run

Canton Dumpster Rental Group is locally owned and still runs out of one yard. The number on this page reaches the Canton yard, not an answering service in another state.

  • All 18 area communities

Close to the yard across Canton, Woodstock and the rest of Cherokee County, and out across Cobb, Forsyth, Fulton, Pickens and Bartow counties. We tell you honestly which runs are same-day and which are next-day before you book, not after.

  • Sorted for recovery, not the landfill

Clean concrete, scrap metal and yard debris get routed for recovery rather than buried wherever the local facilities allow it — good practice, not a state mandate here.

Answers

Dumpster rental in Canton — your questions

How much does it cost to rent a dumpster in Canton?

Most jobs run roughly $350 to $750, depending on the container size, how dense the debris is, how long you keep it and how far out the delivery address is — every job is genuinely different, so that is a general range, not a quote. What matters more is how the price is built. Ours is a flat rate covering delivery, the rental period, pickup and disposal, so the figure you are quoted is the figure you pay. Call with a short description of the job and you will get a firm number on that call, not a callback.

How quickly can you deliver a dumpster in Canton?

Near the yard in Canton and the rest of Cherokee County — Woodstock and Holly Springs included — a morning call is often a same-day delivery. Farther towns in our service area — Alpharetta, Jasper and similar — usually run next-day rather than same-day. Jobsite swap-outs get priority over new deliveries, because a full container stops a crew working.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Canton?

It depends on where the container sits. On your own driveway, curb apron or job site — private property — no permit is required. If the container has to sit in the public right-of-way, a street or sidewalk, you may need a temporary permit from the City of Canton, and we can help walk you through that process. Our permit guide covers the pattern across the rest of the service area.

What can't go in a dumpster in Georgia?

Paint, solvents, oils, tires, batteries, hazardous chemicals, gas cylinders, propane tanks and medical waste are never allowed in a roll-off. That list applies everywhere we deliver — it is the material that gets pulled and charged back if it turns up in a load.

Will a dumpster damage my driveway?

A loaded roll-off is heavy, and boards go under the rails as standard on every placement to spread that weight out. Tell us if the surface is anything other than a standard concrete or asphalt driveway — a narrow mill-village lot, a shared driveway, or a newer pour — and we will talk through the right approach before the truck arrives.

Which dumpster size do I need?

Volume and weight are two separate limits and the material decides which one stops you first. Household clear-outs and construction offcuts run out of space, so size up. Concrete, brick, tile and landscape rock run out of weight with the box barely a third full, so size down and fill it part way. The 20 yard suits most whole-project jobs; the 10 yard is the right answer for anything heavy.

Do you deliver across all 18 communities, not just Canton itself?

Yes, all 18 towns we cover across six Georgia counties — Canton and the rest of Cherokee County, plus Acworth and Marietta in Cobb County, Cumming in Forsyth County, Alpharetta, Milton and Roswell in north Fulton, and Jasper and Emerson farther out. Distance is real, so an Alpharetta or Jasper run is scheduled next-day rather than same-day and is not priced identically to a Canton or Woodstock delivery. We tell you both things on the phone before anything is booked.

When is the best time of year to book?

North Georgia has two genuinely busy stretches worth planning around: winter ice-storm season, roughly December through February, when a glazed rain event can bring down trees and power lines across Cherokee County with very little notice, and the tail end of hurricane season, roughly August through October, when a storm's remnants can push damaging wind gusts and downed limbs across the region the way Hurricane Helene did here in September 2024. The spring-through-fall building and renovation season runs on top of both. Outside those windows, contractors are more available and containers are easier to schedule. If your job has to run during a busy window, book as far ahead as you can.
